Golang Job: Software Engineer

In this role, you can expect to:

• Collaborate remotely both within Northfield IT and with our customers and their partner organizations;
• Configure and troubleshoot distributed systems at scale using cutting-edge observability tools like Datadog, Prometheus, and Grafana;
• Design, implement, and maintain a platform of internal tools aimed at speeding up software development teams;
• Support and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployments across a variety of programming languages including nodejs, ruby, golang, .NET Core, java, scala, php, powershell and python;
• Automate, configure, and manage infrastructure at scale using automation built with Kubernetes, Terraform, Chef, Jenkins, Vault, and Consul
• Architect and implement patterns to manage web traffic at scale using Content Delivery Networks.

You could be a great fit, if you have:

• 5+ years of experience working in a Software Development or System Administrator role;
• Familiarity with automating complex tasks using one or more of our core languages;
• Comfort working with stakeholders to clarify requirements and propose solutions;
• Experience planning, organizing, and executing software or infrastructure projects;
• Prior exposure to managing infrastructure as code;
• Practice troubleshooting production issues with infrastructure or distributed software systems;
• Working knowledge of industry best practices with regards to information security.
